What Is an Impact Driver Used For?

Impact Driver or Cordless Drill?
Impact drivers and cordless drills perform different jobs, though there is some overlap. A cordless drill or combi drill provides an adjustable clutch and conventional chuck, making it suitable for drilling holes and controlled screwdriving. An impact driver is more specialised, using its impact mechanism to drive fixings quickly and handle greater resistance.
For many trades, the two tools are used alongside each other. A cordless drill can be used to drill the pilot hole, while an impact driver is used to drive the fixing without having to change bits repeatedly.
